Amarillo Slim: In A World Full of Fat People

This book contains the memoirs of famous gambler Amarillo Slim. While starting off in pool/snooker and becoming famous as a poker player, Slim did some crazy stuff on bets outside of casinos and pool halls. Like the time he played a Ping Pong World Champ with a skillet. Its a fun read, but gets a bit dry toward the end when the subjects are less on gambling and more on Slim's celebrity career as a host, commentator, etc.

Slim's cowboy-style comes through in Denkin's writing which I enjoyed. I would recommend this to poker fans or folks who like stuff like Ripley's Believe It or Not, and its a quick read.
